1:1 Coaching

You Can Care About Other People Without Losing Yourself in the Process.

If you've spent years being the understanding one, the accommodating one, the fixer, the peacekeeper, or the person everyone can depend on, choosing yourself can feel surprisingly uncomfortable.

You might know you need stronger boundaries but feel guilty every time you set one.

You might recognize that a relationship is unhealthy but still find yourself questioning your own experience.

Or maybe you've spent so long worrying about what everyone else thinks, feels and needs that you're not even sure what you want anymore.

1:1 coaching is a space to begin changing those patterns.

Does This Sound Familiar?

You might:

  • Say yes when you desperately want to say no
  • Feel responsible for keeping other people happy
  • Over-explain your decisions or boundaries
  • Feel intense guilt when someone is disappointed with you
  • Constantly question whether you're being "selfish"
  • Stay in unhealthy relationships longer than you want to
  • Find yourself repeatedly giving more than you receive
  • Struggle to trust your perception after manipulation or gaslighting
  • Feel responsible for fixing, rescuing or changing other people
  • Know intellectually that you deserve better but struggle to believe it emotionally
  • Feel disconnected from your identity after an unhealthy relationship
  • Understand your patterns but still struggle to change them

If you're thinking "I know I do this. I just don't know how to stop," coaching may be a helpful next step.

What We Can Work On Together

Coaching isn't about me giving you a list of rules for how you should live your life.

Our work is collaborative and centered around helping you better understand yourself, recognize patterns, clarify what you want and develop practical tools for moving forward.

Depending on your goals, our sessions may explore:

People-Pleasing

Understanding why approval, acceptance or avoiding disappointment can feel so important, and learning to make choices without automatically prioritizing everyone else's comfort.

Boundaries

Identifying your limits, communicating them clearly and learning how to tolerate the discomfort that can come when other people don't like them.

Codependent Patterns

Recognizing over-functioning, rescuing, fixing and taking responsibility for emotions or problems that aren't yours to carry.

Unhealthy Relationship Dynamics

Developing greater awareness of manipulation, guilt, control, emotional invalidation and other patterns that may be affecting your relationships.

Narcissistic Abuse Recovery

Supporting you as you rebuild boundaries, identity and self-trust following a relationship involving narcissistic or emotionally abusive dynamics.

Self-Trust

Learning to listen to yourself again, your needs, instincts, values, emotions and boundaries, without constantly looking outside yourself for permission or validation.

What Does Coaching With Me Look Like?

Welcome to Diary of a People Pleaser Life Coaching

Our sessions are conversational, collaborative and individualized to what you're currently navigating.

You don't need to arrive with the perfect goal or know exactly what you want to talk about.

Sometimes we begin with something as simple as:

"This happened and I don't know how I feel about it."

From there, we can slow things down, identify patterns, explore what may be keeping you stuck and develop practical next steps that align with your values and goals.

You may leave sessions with:

  • Greater clarity around a relationship or situation
  • A boundary you want to practice
  • A different way of responding to guilt
  • Greater awareness of a recurring pattern
  • Language for communicating what you need
  • A practical goal to work toward
  • Or simply a better understanding of yourself

There is no one-size-fits-all formula.

The work is about you.

1:1 Coaching — $96 per 60-minute session

(Psst.. I don't believe meaningful support should automatically require committing to thousands of dollars in coaching packages, that's why I offer individual sessions, allowing us to work together session by session).

No large package required.

No pressure to commit before you know whether working together feels right.

Start With a Free Discovery Call.

Reaching out to someone you've never met and saying "I need help with this" can feel vulnerable. That's why our first conversation is free.

During your discovery call, we'll briefly talk about:

  • What brought you to coaching
  • What you're currently struggling with
  • What you'd like to change
  • How my coaching approach works
  • Any questions you have
  • Whether we both feel that coaching together would be a good fit

There is no obligation to book afterward.

Sometimes the first step really is just having the conversation!

Coaching or Counselling?

It's important to understand the difference.

Coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented service focused on areas such as personal growth, patterns, boundaries, relationships, self-awareness, decision-making and moving toward changes you want to make in your life.

Coaching is not psychotherapy and does not include diagnosing or treating mental health conditions.

If your needs fall outside the scope of coaching, I will encourage you to seek support from an appropriately qualified mental health professional.

Sometimes people may also choose to work with both a therapist and a coach for different purposes.

Your wellbeing comes before whether I'm the right person to work with.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at brefelicella@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Not necessarily. People seek coaching at different stages. You may be questioning a relationship, navigating boundaries within one, recovering after leaving, or noticing similar patterns showing up in completely different areas of your life.

We'll talk about your circumstances during your discovery call to determine whether coaching is appropriate for what you need.

No, and you don't need a diagnosis to recognize that a behaviour or relationship is harming you.

Rather than diagnosing someone you know, our work can focus on the behaviours you're experiencing, how they're affecting you, your boundaries and the choices available to you.

Your privacy is important. Before beginning coaching, you'll receive information explaining my coaching practices, privacy expectations, scope and any applicable limitations.

There isn't one number that applies to everyone. Your goals, circumstances and preferences will help determine how often and how long we work together. Because sessions are available individually, you don't need to purchase a large package upfront.

That's completely okay.

The discovery call exists so that we can meet before you make a decision.

You don't need to tell me your entire story.

We can simply start with what brought you here.

Maybe Choosing Yourself Is the Next Chapter!

You don't have to spend the rest of your life measuring your worth by how happy everyone else is with you.

You can be compassionate and have boundaries.

You can love people and say no.

You can understand someone and decide their behaviour isn't acceptable.

You can disappoint someone and still be a good person.

You can choose yourself without becoming selfish.

And you can build a life where your voice gets to matter, too.
